## Resolve Explained in Mortal Shell 2

### Resolve is Part of the New Combat System

Resolve is the yellow bar above the red health bar , and is a new combat system developed for Mortal Shell 2 that was absent in the first game. Essentially, Resolve fuels up all of the alternate abilities like the Shells' special skills or ammo for your sidearm .
To replenish your Resolve Meter, you will need to perform enough melee attacks to fill it back up. Keep in mind that different weapons will fill up Resolve at different rates.

## How to Increase Resolve

### Resolve Bar is Fixed

The Resolve Bar in the game is fixed, regardless of the Shell or equipment you use. However, there are ways to make the use of Resolve more efficient. This can be done by equipping specific Tarstones or upgrading certain Shell abilities that directly affect how you use your Resolve.

## List of Resolve Tarstones

### Devout Stone and Zealot's Stone

Tarstone | Effect
Devout Stone | Killing an enemy with your sidearm generates Resolve.
Zealot’s Stone | Light Combo Finisher generates extra Resolve.

Devout Stone and Zealot Stone are two Tarstones that specifically provide a way to generate Resolve.

## Shell Abilities with Resolve

### Some Shell Abilities can Effectively Use Resolve

Shell Ability | Shell | Description
Lethality | Tiel | Tiel restores Resolve when killing an enemy with Shadow Strike
Attunement | Gragu | Each level reduces the Resolve cost of Staggering Blow
Worthy Armor | Lazlo | Each level reduces the Resolve cost of Lazlo's Retribution
Alacrity | Eredrim | Each level reduces the Resolve cost of Eredrim's abilities
Attunement | Proxima | Each level reduces the Resolve cost of Biosampler
