## The Unfound Path

After you’ve gathered around 160 Ova and talked to Milos at the Marrow Keep, a path will appear in the Ova Nursery Chamber that you can go through to reach this new area.
You won’t have to cleanse the entirety of the six Corrupted Gates to activate this point, but it leads you to the endgame.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_0.webp)
Go down the staircase in the Ova Nursery chamber. You’ll find two paths here. One leads you down from the right, while the other one leads you to the Stone Portal in the front.
The path to the right will take you to a chamber with three lanterns. It symbolizes that you have to defeat three bosses in the area. However, you’ll have to take the stone portal to reach the main stage.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_1.webp)
The stone portal will lead you to a cliff in the middle of nowhere. There will be enemies hatching out of the pods in the area. They drop a lot of gloom and can help you farm some levels. You’ll find another stone portal on the other end of the cliff.
This stone portal leads you to another cliff, but this is the main one. You can vaguely see a Beacon and a Supporting Shell Summon, but it’s covered in corruption, and you’ll find no option to cleanse it. Head left, and you’ll find another Beacon.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_2.webp)
From here, in this place, you can take on three paths. These three paths lead you to a different stone portal, and you’ll have to fight a powerful boss at each end before you’re able to reach the Foul Passenger, the Ova that has become the source of corruption.
The path to the left leads you to the Malborn Offspring. If you turn right after going left from the corrupted beacon, you’ll have to fight against the Monolith. If you go left, you’ll encounter the Discarded Golem. Keep in mind that the paths to each of these bosses are filled with strong enemies, one after the other. It’s best to just run past the regular enemies instead of challenging every single one unless you’re all levelled up.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_3.webp)

## Path To The Malborn Offspring

Take the stone portal on the left. This one is most easily visible on the corrupted Beacon platform. As soon as you take the portal, you’ll find the Receiving Halls beacon there.
Cleanse the Receiving Halls beacon by defeating all the enemies inside it. You won’t find any Ova inside the beacons in the Unfound Path, but you’ll find sources of Corruption instead. Just cleanse them as you do with Ovum, and it will work out the same way.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_4.webp)
Take the path ahead from the Beacon after returning to the surface. You’ll find the knife-hand enemies, as well as gigantic cockroach enemies, on the way.
Use the stairs to go up. You’ll have to cross bridges to progress deeper on this path, but there will be enemies guarding them.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_5.webp)
As you keep going through the area, you’ll eventually arrive at the Faithful’s Shelter Beacon. To Cleanse the Faithful’s Shelter Beacon, you’ll have to fight against several knife-hand and gigantic cockroach enemies.
The source of corruption sits near a small pool of water in the depths of the beacon. After returning to the surface, take the path to the right. It will lead you straight to the Malborn Offspring’s Arena.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_6.webp)

## Malborn Offspring

Malborn Offspring is a humanoid boss. It has a big sword. In the first half of the fight, you’ll have to watch out for the kick-into-an-attack combo where it launches a sudden kick, thrusts the sword into the ground, pulling it out for a final attack. Make sure to parry it every time. The boss may do an unblockable swing after pulling the sword out of the ground; dodge it.
In the first half of Phase 1, the boss mostly uses swing attacks. However, after it gets staggered after losing 40% HP and you’ve launched a riposte, the boss will switch to using unblockable grab attacks more often. Here, you’ll have to dodge the unblockable ones while parrying the swings.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_7.webp)
After you’ve depleted the entire health bar, stay away. The boss will be resurrected shortly, but this time, lightning will coat its sword.
The boss is even more aggressive now, and if you attack while it’s getting back up, you’ll get struck by lightning as well. So, be patient, and let him fully recover his HP first.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_8.webp)
Equip a Galvanized Shard to mitigate a little of the Lightning from its melee attacks. From here, the one attack you have to watch out for is the one where it frantically starts to swing around its sword. This sequence is difficult to dodge, but can be done with a little practice.
Furthermore, the boss may also thrust its lightning sword into the ground, jumping to another place to do the same. This is an unblockable attack, as represented by the red dodge icon on him.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_9.webp)
The boss retains its blockable attacks in mostly the same pattern. Parry them whenever you spot them. You’ll be able to defeat this boss easily after getting down the pattern of its few attacks that can be parried.
After defeating the boss, you’ll obtain the Offspring Trophy, which can be sold for 5000 coins. Return to the area near the Faithful’s Shelter Beacon, and the path to the corrupted Ovum will be unlocked. Approach and sever it.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_10.webp)

## Path To The Monolith

On the platform with the corrupted Beacon, go left and then turn right. You’ll reach a jump spring area. The Stone Portal will be just ahead.
You’ll find a slithering enemy here with a snake-like tail. Defeat it and keep going. There will be many pods that hatch into enemies. The gate leading further ahead is locked, but you can find the Brether’s Court Beacon before it.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_11.webp)
Similar to the other Beacons in the Unfound Path area, this one also features a group of enemies that you’ll have to defeat, instead of any puzzles. Cleanse it.
Approach the locked path. There’s a stone structure on the wall to your left. You’ll find the switch to unlock the gate here.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_12.webp)
Pass through the gate that has now been unlocked. Run over the stairs and take the elevator. Go straight ahead from there until you encounter a dual-wielding dancer enemy. From there, turn left and take the stairs going downwards.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_13.webp)
Keep going down from there. There are many enemies in this area, so be careful. You’ll then arrive at the Obsidian Vault Beacon.
To cleanse this beacon, enter it and fight against the hammer enemy. Go into the open water.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_14.webp)
As you’re walking towards the source of corruption, many spider enemies will crash near you like meteorites. Defeat them and continue on the path.
Once you’re back at the surface, take the path going downward to your right. This will lead you straight to the Monolith.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_15.webp)

## The Monolith

The Monolith is a true test of your ability to parry. The timings are very strict, but are used repeatedly. The boss deals a ton of damage, so a single attack is enough to stagger you out of a failed parry attempt or even destroy your shell.
The boss has a deceptively high HP. You only have to take out around half of its HP to defeat the boss.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_16.webp)
The main attack that you have to watch out for is the one where it slams the ground twice after becoming a single stone slab. Always parry both attacks.
The other attack is the one where the bell strikes you twice in rapid succession. Keep parrying everything until the boss staggers.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_17.webp)
Once you’ve taken around 20% of the boss’s HP, Phase 2 will begin. The attacks become a lot different. Instead of slamming the ground as a stone slab twice, the boss will slam only once, and then start to rotate on the ground in your direction.
The boss may also hit you with the bell repeatedly. It’s best to just get behind the boss during this attack. Another one when the boss shoots out lasers in one direction. Get behind the boss and keep attacking him until the lasers stop.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_18.webp)
Keep up your defense, and you’ll be able to defeat this boss. After the Monolith is down, you’ll find the Corrupted Ovum in the boss arena. Sever it.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_19.webp)

## Path To Orrem, The Discarded Golem

From the main corrupted Beacon, head right. You’ll drop down on a jump spring below. Keep going, and you’ll reach the Stone Portal.
As you reach the area, there will be a spider enemy here. Defeat it and keep going. You’ll reach the stairs leading upwards. There are many scythe enemies here, so be careful.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_20.webp)
Just past this, you’ll find another staircase leading upward to the left. You’ll find the Bridge of Procession Beacon here.
As you enter the beacon to cleanse it, you’ll have to fight multiple multi-leg and spider enemies. There’s a hollowed-out eggshell here that you can use strategically to fight against the enemies. Once all the enemies are defeated, you can cleanse the corruption and return to the surface. Orrem is just beyond the bridge now.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_21.webp)

## Orrem, The Discarded Golem

As you enter the arena, you’ll notice that this is likely the same Tar Golem that defeated Harros in the Prologue. Its attacks inflict Burn, so equip a Burn Effigy to mitigate its effect.
You can also summon Sariel as a Supporting Shell during this boss battle. The first phase is not that much of a challenge, since Sariel is there to take the aggro. You’ll only have to watch out for the attack where it swings its axes one after the other, smashing them on the ground.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_22.webp)
The entirety of the first phase remains the same. However, after you’ve depleted its HP to zero, the boss will resurrect, and there’s a centipede-like creature inside of it.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_23.webp)
The second phase’s attacks can also be avoided via movement. Stay on your toes and keep trying to move towards the boss’s back. It will keep trying to use the same attack to realign with you, which is easier to dodge.
Watch out for the jump and dash attacks. These attacks deal a ton of damage and can easily knock you out of your shell.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_24.webp)
After you’ve defeated the boss, the entire arena will take you above as an elevator. You’ll find a Beacon here. Enter the Empty Cradle Beacon to cleanse it.
The beacon is filled with spiders and multi-legged enemies. Keep going deeper after defeating the enemies until you reach a Stone Portal. This will bring you closer to the source of corruption. The source is guarded by a giant cockroach enemy, so defeat it and then cleanse the beacon.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_25.webp)
There’s a tight path just behind the Empty Cradle Beacon. Pass through it and keep going. You’ll reach the last corrupted Ovum after going through an area filled with spider enemies. Sever it and return to the main pillar.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_26.webp)

## The Hidden Nave

The Hidden Nave is the name of the Beacon on the main platform. Now that you’ve defeated the three bosses and severed the corrupted ovum, the corruption surrounding the beacon will be cleansed.
You’ll still have to dive into the beacon to cleanse it from the inside.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_27.webp)
Enter the beacon. You’ll spot a campfire. Keep going straight ahead into the fog. This fog is mysterious, and there are only two areas that you can reach from here.
In one of the chambers, you’ll find a tablet about a torch. Approach the campfire, and you’ll find a torch here that you can pick up.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_28.webp)
Pick up the torch and walk into the fog. You’ll arrive in a new area. The Harbinger will drop the torch on their own. Keep going straight ahead.
As you go deeper, you’ll find the Endless Core inside a treasure chest. This item is an upgrade for the Tarforge that removes the level cap from weapon upgrades, allowing you to go beyond +16 if you have the resources.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_29.webp)
You’ll then enter a large hall with hundreds of chests and Gloom trees. Opening each chest rewards you with lots of Gloom, but don’t waste your time here.
Approach the gate, and you’ll be required to offer all of the Gloom that you have to open it. You’ll find the source of corruption just inside. Cleanse it and approach the final boss arena.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_30.webp)

## Seedbearer’s Scripture

If you hope to take on Zmey, the Unbidden, you’ll have to obtain the Seedbearer’s Scripture, the only item that negates the effects of the Cosmic Disease Status Effect.
To get this item, you’ll have to find the three glands in the three Corrupted Gates spread all over the three regions: the Depleted Gland, the Thawed Gland, and the Faded Gland.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_31.webp)
- Depleted Gland : The Depleted Gland can be found in the Withered Shoals in the trunk just before you fall into the Hexapod’s arena.
- Thawed Gland : In one of the giant halls in the Conquered Temple gate. You can find it if you backtrack from the Winterglass Lake Beacon.
- Faded Gland : Found in one of the chests on the ground, surrounded by dual-wielding dancers. You’ll have to warp to the Citadel Annex Beacon in the Faded Citadel gate.
After obtaining all of the glands, head to the Forgotten Tower near Sester’s Refuge. Make sure you do so at night.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_32.webp)
You’ll have to call the night by offering the Gloombound Flame to the lantern on top of the Marrow Keep. Talk to Thestus to summon the night.
Approach the creature that appears to be stuck in stone and make your offerings. Offer the three glands, and you’ll obtain the Seedbearer’s Scripture.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_33.webp)

## Zmey, The Unbidden

Just beyond the Hidden Nave Beacon, you’ll enter Zmey’s arena. Zmey, the Unbidden, is undoubtedly the most challenging boss battle in the game.
Zmey inflicts Burn, Stasis, and Cosmic Disease. The most important attack that you have to watch out for is the grab attack. Memorize the animation where it brings its tail slightly forward. It is super fast, and if you don’t dodge it, it can seal the fate of the boss battle attempt.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_34.webp)
You can parry its long-range slash, where Zmey attacks the ground, and a shockwave of stasis goes all the way to the other edge of the arena. You can parry it from any distance. Tiel is exceptionally useful in this battle because of his ability to generate clones and turn invisible.
If you’re standing too close to the boss, it will try to stomp you thrice. This attack has a weird hitbox, but try to stay away from the boss when it’s stomping the ground.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_35.webp)
The first half is manageable if you learn its patterns, but after you’ve taken out around 50% of its HP, the boss will breathe fire on its blade, coating it.
In this scenario, if you fail to parry an attack, or even if you parry it successfully, you’ll still get a slight Cosmic Disease buildup on your character. Be sure to avoid all of its breath attacks, as they build up the same status effect.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_36.webp)
The boss may also thrust its sword on the ground, unleashing waves after waves of fire that inflict Cosmic Disease. It is almost impossible to avoid this attack in its entirety, unless you have the Seedbearer’s Scripture.
However, you can also use Vatra’s Seal to learn Harden, which can allow you to withstand the attack without the status bar filling up to the maximum.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_37.webp)
If you do get afflicted by Cosmic Disease, you will lose your shell, any items, Tarstones, and weapons. You’ll then turn into a weak, frail body with a unique but weak moveset.
![](../media/c44e4cde17_38.webp)
If you can avoid getting afflicted with the Cosmic Disease, the boss appears defeatable. However, you still have to learn to recognize its attacks because if you get hit by anything, it means losing your shell because of how much damage these attacks deal.
Try to level up as best as you can before heading into the battle. Once you’ve defeated Zmey, the Unbidden, it will unlock the Ending. You can then start a new playthrough from Marrow Keep.
