## Boss Difficulty Overview

## Hadern the First Martyr

### Overview

Hadern is the tutorial boss and the first real test of your Harden understanding. He wields a large greatsword with slow but punishing strikes.

### Attack Patterns

- Horizontal Slash: Wide sweeping arc. Telegraph is obvious —he raises the sword and holds for ~1s.
- Overhead Slam: Vertical downward smash. Dodge sideways.
- Thrust: Quick forward stab, often followed by a follow-up slash. Best Harden-counter opportunity.
- 3-Hit Combo (below 50% HP): Slash → Slam → Spin. Gaps between each hit for Hardening.

### Strategy

Phase 1 (100%-50%): Stay at mid-range. Move in for 1-2 hits after he finishes a swing. Harden to absorb his counter, then hit back. Repeat 3-4 cycles.
Phase 2 (below 50%): He adds the 3-hit combo. Harden the first hit, dodge the second laterally, punish after the third. Do not get greedy —his recovery is faster than it looks.

### No-Hit Tip

Hadern's no-hit is simple. Harden every time he attacks, break and hit once, retreat. Patience is all you need. Don't let his slow pace bait you into extra hits.

## Crucix, the Twiceborn

### Overview

Crucix is the Crypt's final boss and a two-phase fight. Phase 1 is a humanoid knight with sword and shield. At 60% HP, he transforms into a giant spider form with massively increased speed and range —the first true wall for many players.

### Phase 1: Human Form

- Shield Charge: Rushes forward with shield raised, followed by a sweep. Dodge sideways —do not stand in front.
- Sword 3-Hit: Stab → slash → stab with even timing. The gap after the third hit is your attack window.
- Holy Blade: Charges and releases a light wave projectile. Sidestep when you hear the chime.
Bait the 3-hit combo and attack during the 0.8s window after the third strike. Harden to absorb his sudden counters and shield charges. When he charges Holy Blade, rush him —he can't turn during the charge.

### Phase 2: Spider Form (triggers at 60% HP)

Massively increased size and speed. No more shield, but gains new moves:
- Leaping Crush: Jumps and slams down with AoE damage. Double roll backward the moment he lifts off.
- Venom Spray: Cone-shaped poison spray, leaves damaging pools. Run behind him or to the arena edge.
- Spider Rush: Lightning-fast forward charge with claw swipe. Harden the moment he starts moving —the timing window is tight.
Phase 2 key: Stay close! Everyone's instinct is to run from the giant spider —but his ranged attacks are far deadlier than his melee. Hug him. Harden the claw swipes, dodge sideways for bites, hit 1-2 times. Never attack more than twice in a row. At ~40% HP he chains Leaping Crush into Venom Spray —as long as you dodge the jump, the spray won't reach you.

## Tarsus, the First Martyr

### Overview

Tarsus guards the deepest chamber of the Frozen Sanctum. This ice-themed boss wields a massive frost greatsword and area freeze attacks. His Phase 2 summons a blizzard that covers the entire arena —one of the toughest mid-game encounters.

### Phase 1

- Frost Greatsword Sweep: Covers 180° in front. Step back twice or Harden.
- Ice Spear Volley: Fires three homing ice spears. Strafe sideways —do not roll.
- Ice Burst: Slams weapon into ground, releasing a radial ice ring. Must Harden or jump-dodge.
- Frozen Embrace: Charges forward to grab you for massive damage. Never stand directly in his charge path.
Phase 1 strategy: Equip fire-enchanted weapons (Molten Blade or Ember's Staff if available). Tarsus has a predictable rhythm: sweep → sweep → ice burst. The ice burst is his recovery window —step in for 2-3 hits, then retreat. When he throws ice spears, run laterally —they can't track at full speed.

### Phase 2: Blizzard (triggers at 50% HP)

The arena is engulfed in a blizzard that deals minor tick damage and slows movement. New abilities:
- Frost Clones: Creates two clones that attack simultaneously. One hit destroys each clone —prioritize them immediately.
- Burial Blizzard: Massive ice pillars erupt from the arena center. Safe zone is at the edges.
Phase 2 strategy: Keep moving constantly in the blizzard —never stand still even when not attacking. Destroy clones the moment they appear (one hit each). When Tarsus summons Burial Blizzard, he stays in place for ~2 seconds —this is his most vulnerable moment. Circle behind and unload. Eredrim Shell's high-damage charged heavies excel here, often staggering him before clones spawn.

## Imrod, the Unrepentant

### Overview

Imrod is the guardian of the Blazing Forge —a colossal fire giant whose arena features lava grids. His attacks are moderately paced but each one can one-shot under-leveled players. Bring fire resistance items.

### Attack Patterns

- Flame Hammer: Single-handed downward smash, medium frontal range. Side-step and counter.
- Spinning Inferno: 360° spin attack lasting ~3 seconds. Get far away —do not try to Harden through it.
- Lava Call: Creates persistent lava pools at his feet that limit your movement space.
- Forge's Fury (below 30% HP): Ignites his entire body —all attacks gain bonus range. This is a DPS check: you must finish the fight within ~30 seconds before lava covers the whole arena.

### Strategy

Core tactic: Imrod's weak point is his back . Attacking from behind deals bonus damage. Tiel Shell's high stamina supports constant dodge-to-behind positioning.
Start by letting him attack a few times to learn the rhythm. Flame Hammer has a clear tell —he raises the weapon and holds ~1 second before impact. Dodge sideways behind him and land 2-3 hits. When he roars before Spinning Inferno, immediately retreat. As lava pools spread, kite him to clean sections of the arena.
Forge's Fury phase: One of the most intense moments in the game. All attacks gain 50% range. Stay calm. Only attack during his post-roar exhaust animation. Harden his enlarged sweeps. If you brought a frost-enchanted weapon, the bonus damage here helps end the fight fast.

## Corvid, the Watcher

### Overview

Corvid is a crow-like guardian at the top of the Watcher's Spire, specializing in aerial attacks and diving strikes. Possibly the fastest boss in the game —if your reactions can't match her speed, she feels impossible. But once you understand her pattern, she becomes one of the easiest bosses.

### Attack Patterns

- Dive Bomb: Swoops down from the air. Her most common attack and also the safest Harden-counter opportunity.
- Feather Barrage: Cone-shaped feather projectile spread. At close range, it can't hit you —standing beneath her is the safest spot.
- Whirlwind Claws: Fast 3-hit ground claw combo. Harden between hits 2 and 3.
- Shroud of Darkness (below 60% HP): Arena darkens and she goes invisible, diving from random directions.

### Strategy

Core tactic: Stay glued to her! Many players see Corvid flying around and instinctively run away —that's exactly what she wants. Her ranged feather barrage is deadly at distance but completely misses you at close range (under her feet).
The dive bomb is her self-destruct moment: Harden in her dive path, she crashes into your stone body and falls to the ground, giving you 3-4 seconds of free damage. Whirlwind Claws has a "fast-slow-fast" rhythm —Harden during the second (slow) hit.
During Shroud of Darkness, listen. Her dive has an audio cue (wind rush) that comes ~0.5 seconds before the visual. Harden the moment you hear it. Tiel Shell with its shortest Harden cooldown is ideal for matching Corvid's attack frequency.

## The Unchained

### Overview

The Unchained is an ancient being sealed at the bottom of the Abyssal Rift. This fight tests everything you've learned —fast combos, delayed strikes, sweeping AoEs, the works. There is no cheese strategy. You must execute every skill you've developed.

### Attack Patterns

- Chaos Flurry: 5-hit sequence —sweep → uppercut → thrust → spin → heavy slam. Each beat is different. Hit 4 is the opening.
- Abyssal Grasp: Pulls you toward him into a heavy follow-up. When pulled, Harden —do not try to run.
- Dark Detonation: Charges and releases a full-screen AoE. Only Harden negates the damage.
- Chain Cyclone (below 40% HP): Swings chains in a massive spin attack for ~4 seconds.

### Strategy

Chaos Flurry: This is the fight-deciding move. Learn the rhythm: fast(1), fast(2), slow(3), fast(4), heavy(5). Optimal response: Harden on hit 3 (slow), absorb it, dodge before hit 4 (fast), then unload during hit 5's recovery.
Abyssal Grasp is a gift —Harden as you're pulled in, he hits your stone shell, then counterattack. Dark Detonation has ~2s of charge —if Harden is on cooldown, sprint to the arena edge.
Chain Cyclone phase: Do not attack. Pure evasion. The damage hitbox is weakest at the cyclone's midsection —time your dodge through the chains to reach the inner safe zone. Bring Solomon Shell for balanced stats and a holy-enchanted weapon. Stock up on healing items —this is a war of attrition.

## The Dark Father

### Overview

The Dark Father is the final boss. As the climax of the story, this fight incorporates elements from every boss you've faced. Three distinct phases, each completely changing the combat rhythm.

### Phase 1: Humanoid

Wields a greatsword similar to Hadern's but faster and deadlier. Mid-attack Harden is his kryptonite. His combo endings have clear exhaustion pauses —use them.

### Phase 2 (70% HP): Shadow Form

Transforms into a shadow being with teleportation and ranged shadow barrages. He teleports behind you to attack. Listen for the teleport audio cue —a low hum followed by attack ~0.8 seconds later. Harden immediately after teleport.

### Phase 3 (30% HP): Ultimate Form

Fuses shadow and flame, gaining the full boss moveset. Simultaneous melee and ranged capability. This is the final exam of everything you've practiced. Stick to the core loop —observe, Harden, counter. Don't let nerves change your rhythm.
Harrow Shell recommended —his high HP pool can absorb the combo hits. In the final phase, all elemental damage types work —use your strongest enchantment. Bring a fully upgraded (+10) weapon.

## No-Hit General Tips

- Memorize patterns first: Spend 2-3 minutes pure defense when meeting a new boss —only observe, don't attack
- Harden priority: Always reserve one bar of stamina for Harden
- Music is a clue: Every boss phase transition has a unique audio or soundtrack change
- Enchantment prep: Check weaknesses before each fight and equip the corresponding enchantment
- Never get greedy: The core of no-hit is not fast damage —it's never getting hit.
