## Biography [ ]

### Wilds [ ]

In order to investigate the creature and return Nata to his house, Fabius calls a recently promoted hunter and their palico. Alma, a guild handler, and Gemma, a blacksmith, join the hunter, palico, and Nata to form the Avis Unit. The Astrum Unit, which consists of seasoned hunter Olivia, her palico Athos, botanist Erik, and guild engineer Werner, is also traveling with them.
The Guild searches the Forbidden Lands, locating and protecting the indigenous inhabitants from hostile monsters and unusual weather. They come upon the White Wraith on their journey, which turns out to be an albino wyvern with chain-like appendages that consumes the life energy of apex predators.
The Guild learns that the lands are connected by an enigmatic structure known as the Landspine, which is broken and leaking a white, crystalline material termed "wylk" or "wyvern milk," which seems to be related to the weather in each biome. Nata and the Keepers rejoin at the ruins of Wyveria, the former capital of an ancient civilization, which they reach via the Landspine. There, they discover that Wyveria produced the Guardian Monsters, manufactured monsters designed to protect Wyveria, and the Dragontorch, a potent source of limitless energy that was dispersed over the lands via the Landspine. The White Wraith, also called Arkveld, is a Guardian as well, but after taking on characteristics from other monsters, it became uncontrollable and began destroying local wildlife and endangering the ecology. As a result, the hunter had to kill it. When the company finally finds the Dragontorch among the ruins, they find Zoh Shia, a draconic Guardian, eating straight from the flame. Zoh Shia was Wyveria's secret weapon, developed to protect the empire from an unidentified threat, but it turned against them, leading to the collapse of civilization.
Avis Unit approaches Zoh Shia after speaking with the Keepers and the Wyverian sage Allharken. The hunter kills it in order to preserve the ecosystem. The Avis Unit subsequently finds an Arkveld egg, indicating that the species has been revived, and Nata goes on to become an apprentice hunter.

### Ascendance [ ]

The Hunter will eventually return in Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance , the 2027 massive expansion for the base game of MH:Wilds. Seen in the trailer, they, along with some of the Avis Unit, journey to a new Locale called the Skybound Eyrie. There, they can be seen fighting a flock an unnamed new monster, several Guardian species, along with returning Elder Dragons, Kushala Daora and Lao-Shan Lung.

## Personality [ ]

Unlike the speechless other hunters of prior games, the Hunter is given proper dialogue and characterization in Wilds . While Rise portrayed its hunters as partly wrathful and pride-filled via the dependant lines while in a hunt, the Hunter in Wilds is given voicelines within cutscenes, along with being portrayed as far more selfless and calm minded than past hunters.

## Trivia [ ]

- They are the first Hunter to have a definitive personality both within cutscenes and natural dialogue, along with being the first to have full, complete voice acting in cutscenes. Rise only had this in player-dependant voicelines while on hunts.
