# All How to Fish Achievements and How to Unlock Them

How to Fish features 28 achievements, ranging from simple objectives you'll complete naturally during the game to much harder challenges involving rare creatures, unusual kills, bosses, and speedrunning. Below, we've listed every achievement and explained what you need to do to unlock it.

## All Achievements in How to Fish

### Getting started

Requirement: Kill your first creature.
This is the easiest achievement in the game. Simply kill your first creature after starting a new playthrough.

### Drip

Requirement: Kill a drip creature.
Find and kill one of the special Drip variants. You'll eventually need to hunt down all of them for the Fishipedia achievement.

### Who stole my beer

Requirement: Find and kill the culprit and bring it to the lighthouse keeper.
Complete the Lighthouse Keeper's task. Track down the creature responsible for stealing his beer, kill it, and bring the body back to him.

### Noob

Requirement: Get a kill with no kill score multiplier.
Kill a creature normally without triggering any additional Killscore multiplier. Avoid spins, aerial kills, or other tricks that might increase your score.

### Getting an upgrade

Requirement: Upgrade the boat engine.
Purchase any engine upgrade for your boat. Since a faster boat makes traveling between islands much easier, you'll likely unlock this naturally.

### Dinnertime

Requirement: Catch dinner for the swamp lady.
Complete the swamp lady's task by catching the creature she wants and bringing it back to her.

### Let me go

Requirement: Get picked up by a seagull.
Don't attack the seagull when it tries to grab you. Allow the bird to pick up your character to unlock the achievement.

### Impressive

Requirement: Get a 5x kill score.
Combine several tricks during a single kill until your Killscore multiplier reaches x5. Using spins, aerial kills, headshots, and no-scope shots can help increase the multiplier.

### Grillmaster

Requirement: Start a grill.
Find one of the available grills and turn it on. Cooking creatures can also increase their value before you sell them.

### Gold Gold Gold

Requirement: Unlock a legendary skin from the slot machine.
Use the slot machine until you receive a legendary skin. This achievement is largely luck-based, so you may need several attempts.

### 360 no scope

Requirement: Kill a creature with a 360 no scope.
It's easier to attempt this on a weak creature. Reduce its health if necessary, perform a full 360-degree spin, and land the killing shot without aiming down sights.

### Vacation

Requirement: Help the tourist on his vacation.
Find the tourist and complete the task associated with his vacation. Follow the objective until his entire activity is finished.

### Fully equipped

Requirement: Apply all attachments to a single weapon.
Choose one weapon and fill every available attachment slot. You don't need to fully equip every weapon in the game.

### I am speed

Requirement: Buy the best engine for the boat.
Keep upgrading your boat until you can purchase its best available engine.

### Yummy in my tummy

Requirement: Eat a burnt creature.
Place a creature on a grill and leave it cooking until it burns. Eat the burnt creature instead of selling it.

### Terrorizing bird

Requirement: Defend the scared islanders from the terrorizing bird.
Complete the islanders' quest involving the large hostile bird and defeat the creature threatening them.

### All in

Requirement: Bet on green and win at roulette.
Head to the roulette table and place your bet on green. The achievement unlocks only if the ball actually lands on green, so this one depends on luck.

### Competitive eating

Requirement: Kill and eat a mini-boss.
Defeat a mini-boss and eat it instead of selling the body. Make sure you don't accidentally get rid of the creature after the fight.

### Deadliest catch

Requirement: Help the military defeat the big creature they located.
Progress far enough to encounter the military and complete their objective involving the enormous creature they've discovered.

### We are so back

Requirement: Finish the game's main storyline.
Complete the main story and defeat the final boss.

### I'm the bird now

Requirement: Make the boat catch air.
Get enough speed and launch the boat into the air. This is much easier after purchasing a powerful engine, as you can use waves, slopes, or suitable terrain as a makeshift ramp.

### Easy

Requirement: Kill a boss within 10 seconds.
It's best to attempt this after obtaining powerful weapons and several upgrades. Pick an easier boss, prepare before triggering the encounter, and deal as much damage as possible as soon as the fight begins.

### Collector

Requirement: Find and kill all creatures.
Explore every island and kill every regular creature type in the game. Don't confuse this achievement with Fishipedia, which focuses on the rarer Drip variants.

### Rich! Millionaire

Requirement: Sell anything worth 100,000 or more.
You need to sell a single item worth at least 100,000. Several smaller sales totaling more than 100,000 won't count, so save a particularly valuable creature and increase its value whenever possible before selling it.

### Everyone's dream

Requirement: Kill a seagull with dynamite.
Get some Dynamite and use the explosion to kill a seagull. This is separate from Let me go, where you need to allow a seagull to pick you up.

### Handyman

Requirement: Defeat the final boss using only your fists.
This is one of the toughest challenges in How to Fish. Fight the final boss without relying on firearms or other conventional weapons and finish the encounter using your fists.

### Fishipedia

Requirement: Find and kill all drip creatures.
Track down every Drip variant in the game. Since these special creatures are rarer than their standard counterparts, Fishipedia is best saved for the end of your 100% completion run.

### Bean

Requirement: Finish the game within an hour.
Bean is one of the hardest achievements in How to Fish. You must complete the entire game and defeat the final boss in less than 60 minutes.
Don't attempt to combine this with a 100% completion run. Ignore optional quests, rare creatures, the casino, unnecessary equipment, and anything else that doesn't directly help you reach the ending. A dedicated speedrun is considerably easier once you've already completed the game and know the locations and boss mechanics.

## How to Unlock Bean in How to Fish

The basic strategy for Bean is to skip most of the game's intermediate content and travel from the Lighthouse to the Volcano as early as possible. The Volcano gives you access to an efficient money-making method that can quickly fund the weapons and upgrades needed for the rest of the run.

### Lighthouse

At the beginning of the run, grab the Brass Knuckles and ignore most other starting equipment.
- Upgrade the Brass Knuckles for $58.
- Buy the Beer for $12.
- Keep $3 for later.
- Whenever possible, perform 360-degree spins before killing creatures to get a 1.5x multiplier and earn additional money.
Use the Dry Beer Can to lure the Spider Crab. Stay close to the boss and wait for it to charge. Dodge sideways, get behind it while it's vulnerable, and attack with the upgraded Brass Knuckles.
Once the Spider Crab is dead, collect the boat keys and head directly toward the Volcano.

### Finding the Volcano

Don't waste money on the Radar. Instead, use the sun to navigate. It should be ahead of you and slightly to the left while you're traveling in the correct direction.
The game may also briefly freeze or stutter when you're getting close to the Volcano, which can serve as another useful clue.

### Making Money at the Volcano

Once you reach the Volcano, spend your remaining $3 on a Fishing Rod. Use the free lure to catch basic creatures, then cook them in the lava before selling them. Cooking provides roughly a 1.5x value multiplier.
Next, start developing your farming setup:
- buy the Brown Beginner Lure for $3 as a backup;
- buy Dynamite and use it against groups of smaller creatures;
- cook your catches in the lava before selling them;
- purchase additional inventory slots so you can carry more creatures per trip;
- buy the Shotgun once you have enough money.

### Upgrading the Shotgun

Purchase the first three Shotgun bullet upgrades for $20, $30, and $40.
After farming the basic creatures, switch back to your Fishing Rod and progressively move through better lures and weapon upgrades:
- buy Pink Standard Lures for $15;
- purchase Shotgun bullet upgrades for $200, $250, and $300;
- buy Orange Professional Lures for $50;
- purchase the next Shotgun upgrades for $1,500, $2,500, and $3,000;
- buy Scientific Lures for $500 each;
- purchase the final three Shotgun bullet upgrades.

### Getting the Assault Rifle

Continue farming until you have at least $20,000, then purchase the Assault Rifle. After that, keep earning money until you can buy all available upgrades for the weapon.
Carry extra food or other healing items before major encounters. It's usually better to spend a little time preparing than lose an otherwise successful speedrun because of a death.

### Defeating the Whale

The Whale is the final boss and the biggest remaining obstacle. Stock up on healing items at the Military Base and enter the fight with your upgraded weapon.
Try to lure the Whale into the lava whenever possible so that environmental damage helps drain its health. Keep attacking whenever it's safe, heal when necessary, and avoid taking unnecessary risks.
If you moved quickly through the Lighthouse and Volcano sections and didn't waste time on optional content, defeating the Whale should allow you to finish the game within the 60-minute limit and unlock Bean.

## Tips for Getting All Achievements

Don't try to unlock everything during your first playthrough. Complete the main story first, learn the islands and boss mechanics, and pick up any easy achievements you encounter naturally.
After finishing the game, focus on specialized challenges such as Easy, Handyman, Rich! Millionaire, and the casino achievements. Collector and especially Fishipedia are better saved for the cleanup stage, since hunting every creature and rare Drip variant can take considerably longer.
Bean should usually be attempted during a separate run. Once you know where to go and what to buy, skipping optional activities makes the one-hour requirement much more manageable.
