## The loop

- Equip the piece that improves your main Physical or Spell stat, or that stops a wipe.
- Sell the rest at the vendor.

## When not to upgrade

- You are about to enter a new dungeon whose drops will replace this slot.
- The rarity is higher but the damage stat is the wrong path.
- You cannot finish the current map even after the upgrade — skill and telegraphs first.

## Formulas are leads, not Reborn law

Original Dungeon Quest research describes upgrade gain as a small percent of the base stat, capped per hit. Those coefficients live on Dungeon Quest Reborn formulas and stay labeled Community until a Reborn blacksmith hit is captured. Do not plan a gold spreadsheet on OG numbers alone.

## Selling vs trading

The vendor pays gold. Another player may want the same item. If the piece is a named legendary duplicate, read Dungeon Quest Reborn trading before you melt it.
